We’ll talk about your goals, your level and what works for you.
I’ll ask you some open ended questions so you can tell me a little about yourself and I can get an idea of your current English level. Based on this, and any personal learning preferences you have, we can choose other resources like games, quizzes, news clips and photos to help us develop the session further.
Our session is not about testing you, we will be creating a relaxed environment where you pick up some English while we get to know each other.
Why Learn English with me?
Great question. I started my own English tuition business after seven years of full time tutoring on some of the biggest English tuition online platforms. Why? I feel that you deserve a conversational English tutor who will take the time to get to know you and invest in your success. My focus is on building a longer term relationship with my students and tailoring each session to ensure consistent progress. I prefer to concentrate my time and energy on a small number of enthusiastic students so we both get the most out of learning English together.
What can you expect from an English tuition lesson with me?
A session with me will always focus on a specific goal of yours – that could be brushing up on a subject for your IELTS exam or just chatting about something that interests you. If you plan to learn with me regularly after your intoduction session we can plan ahead for the next session, or for several months, it’s all up to you.

A bit more about me
It’s said that the hardest subject to talk about is yourself! As I said above – it’s difficult to take the leap and try a new tutor without knowing much about them.
In my first sessions with new students we always take some time to get to know one another so we can find interesting things to talk about. I have been teaching ESL English online for over 7 years now, but before that I had another career in social care, where communication was also a big part of my job. I decided to get qualified in TEFL about 8 years ago when I retired early, and I have been teaching English to students around the world ever since.
I live in the lovely historic city of Norwich in the UK, with my partner Karen. In my spare time I love to travel and experience new languages and cultures – which of course helps me to become a better tutor! You can often find me in my local gym keeping fit, or at home reading up on politics and world events. I hope we can find out more about each other soon!

English language tuition plans that fit your life
All packages can be tailored to your learning needs after the Introduction Session. Most people find regular practice is what really helps to improve their English ability.
The more sessions you book in a single package the bigger the savings. Sessions slots never expire so you can be totally flexible with when you use them. I will work with you to accommodate almost any schedule and learning goal.

The $10 Introduction session lasts for 40 minutes. Each session in the three packages I offer lasts for 1 hour.
You can cancel a booking over 12 hours in advance free of charge. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the time of the session will be charged at 50% of the session cost.
My calendar will be open 3 months in advance. So you can book up to 3 months in advance.
No, there is no time limit on using the sessions in a package.
My teaching style is friendly and relaxed. I aim to be student-focused and will correct errors and give feedback in a respectful and constructive way.
I have been an online tutor for the last 7 years.
You can pay via Stripe using your credit or debit card, with Apple and Google Pay wallets, with Paypal, or with a cryptocurrency like BTC or USDT. All payments are made via secure gateways and none of your details are exposed or captured on the site.
A full refund on any unused sessions will be given if you are not satisfied with the level of tuition.
